Two new creations of Pierre Bastien with Tomaga and Mark Cunningham (Mars, Raeo)

In July, Pierre Bastien will present two new collaborations : first in Dunkirk at Mon Inouïe Symphonie July 3rd with the British band Tomaga (Hands in the dark), and in Paris on July 9th with Mark Cunningham (Mars, Raeo) for New York’s Nuit 104 curated by Julie Tippex, along Tyondai Braxton, Dälek, Rhys Chatham, Lee Ranaldo & Leah Singer, Sefan Lakatos and Dominique Ponty play Moondog, Charlie Looker (Extra Life, Psalm Zero), Sal P (Liquid Liquid), Brian Turner (WFMU), Rosa Vertov, Patrick Vidal and Jacqueline Caux | More info on Mon Inouïe Symphonie | More info on New York’s Nuit 104 | Facebook event | Tickets | Visual : Collection Morel, screenprint by Superheights to be on sale during the event.


Quiet Motors soon in Moscow at MARS Center for audiovisual arts

After a missed apointment in Moscow in March, and his recent participation to several festivals (Donau, Flatpack, Resonate, IHME, Facto, NRMAL), Pierre will finally travel to Russia to present Quiet motors Friday June 3rd at MARS center in Moscow (Infos | Facebook event) before soon to be announced shows in Berlin, Budapest, Novi Sad in the Autumn. Pierre Bastien’s Paper orchestra in The Quietus and new piece/creation for The Ghost in the Machine’s exhibition

Following the participation of Pierre Bastien to The Bachelor Machines’ exhibition at Lieu Unique in Nantes curated by Collection Morel and recently reviewed by Tim Wilson for The Quietus (A Night Time Library: Pierre Bastien Among The Bachelor Machines), Pierre is part of The Ghost in the Machine’s exhibition at Musée d’Art et d’Histoire of St Brieuc, France, until October 2nd 2016. The exhibition is a proposal from Le Bon Accueil around the 130th anniversary of LÈve future future from Villiers de L’Isle-Adam. Pierre created for the occasion a the new piece, The Paper dancer, exhibited along artworks of Aleksander Kolkowski, Luke Jerram and Tilman Küntzel | More info
